Seattle Superman, Phoenix Jones, talks to the press.
This week, we start odd journey round the globe in Seattle, where would be superhero 'Phoenix Jones' is in court over accusations that he assaulted 4 people leaving a nightclub. In a scenario echoing the plot line from "The Incredibles", Pheonix Jones supposedly attacked the revellers in an attempt to break up a fight.
"I am just like everybody else. The only difference is that I try to stop crime in my neighbourhood." said the real life superman, who is leader of the Rain City Superhero Movement, and claims his team will be out patrolling Seattle's streets the same night of his court appearance.

Secret identity revealed; the mystery hero is unmasked.
The most unfortunate aspect of the whole event for the crimefighter was his secret identity being revealed, a complete disaster for any superhero. Phoenix Jones is the alter-ego of Mr Benjamin Fodor, a 23 year old man of presumably Earth origin. It is not known what powers Phoenix Jones possesses, if any, but he does have a fantastic costume which he unveiled in classic superhero style in court; he stood up, wearing a standard dress shirt and proceeded to rip it off to reveal the black and gold costume beneath.
Here at JC/DC we wish him all the luck in thwarting the crime overlords of Gotham City Seattle and sincerely hope many the Canadian supervillians cannot use the knowledge of his secret identity against him.

In your face make up, or subtle and understaded? (Note: These are both shots of 'Corrie' Star, Helen Flanagan)
Back in a Blighty, a vital piece of research has confirmed something most of us men (and presumably many women) have know for quite some time; Southern Girls wear less make-up than their Northern counterparts, with the exception of Essex. In a ground-breaking study, Debenhams found that sales of products such as fake tan, stick on nails and eyelashes and bright lipstick is more common in Northern England, Scotland and Essex, whereas southern girls preferred the natural look and were more likely to buy tinted moisturiser and concealer.
Conjuring up quite the hilarious and stereotypical image, the Essex stores even reported women wearing three pairs of fake eyelashes at once. Presumably all on their face.
Finally, we have the bizarre story of the 23 year old Vietnamese woman who "aged 50 years over a few days". Apparently, Nguyen Thi Phuong suffered a severe allergic reaction to fish in 2008, causing her entire face and much of the rest of her body to puff up and swell. Rather than going to the hospital, she opted to visit a local pharmacy for medication, and it this which is suspected for causing the lasting damage. She is so upset by the aftermath of the illness she wears a face mask out in public. She says only her husbands love has given her the strength and to carry on.

"I still love her very much.", said Nguyen's husband, Thanh Tuyen. Mr. Tuyen, works as a carpenter and even with his wife's wage the couple cannot afford to visit a clinic to diagnose the disease or the potential treatment to cure it. However, in a heart warming twist of charity, Doctors have no agreed to treat her free of charge. We hope Nguyen can have her premature ageing reversed and her former beauty restored.
